Your overseas flight takes you directly to Johannesburg International. From here, you will connect on a domestic flight to either Phalaborwa, Hoedspruit or Nelspruit airports, where you will be met by your Mafigeni guide and depart on your exciting adventure.

Visit the world renowned Kruger National Park for fabulous game viewing, Tribal Villages to gain insight into the culture of local tribes, Wildlife centers, where you can get up close and personal with our wild animal species, Sunland Baobab, the largest and oldest tree in the Southern Hemisphere, which holds a bar in its trunk for 55 people! Not included in the above cost are domestic and international flights, gratuities, accommodation and car hire before or after the safari period, items of a personal nature, government tax of 14%, cost of additional activities not mentioned in the itinerary.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1

Guests arrive at Johannesburg International and connect to Nelspruit, Hoedspruit or Phalaborwa Airport. Here you will be met by a Mafigeni Guide and transfer to Game Lodge/Guest House.

DAY 2

After Breakfast, travel to Kruger National Park. Full day game viewing in Kruger National Park. Overnight in Kruger National Park.

DAY 3

Game viewing in Kruger. Sunset Drive this afternoon in an open safari vehicle. Overnight in Kruger National Park.

DAY 4

Full day of game viewing in Kruger as you make your way out of Kruger. Late exit from Kruger and transfer to Mafigeni Safari Lodge.

DAY 5

After breakfast, transfer to Hazyview via the quaint, gold rush outpost of Pilgrims Rest. Enjoy the picturesque mountain scenery as you wind your way through Sabie to Hazyview. Time permitting, a quick tour of the Echo Caves, Mac Mac Falls and Museum of Man. This evening enjoy a cultural Festival Evening at Shangana Tribal Village. Overnight at Guest House.

DAY 6

Wind your way back to the Lowveld along the Escarpment. Some leisurely hiking to view God's window, Bourke's Luck Potholes and the 3 Rondavels. Bargain for curios along the roadside and enjoy a tasty lunch at Graskop. Overnight at Mafigeni Safari Lodge.

DAY 7

Today, a full day with visits to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center, Bombyx Mori, Kamagelo and Kapama Cheetah Breeding project. Lunch will be enjoyed in the gorgeous "Garden of Eden" grounds. Overnight at Mafigeni Safari Lodge.

DAY 8

Explore Tzaneen and surrounding areas today. Kaross Embroidery, Modjadji cycad Forest, Debengeni Falls, Agatha Croc farm, Lunch at Sapekoe tea Estate, Town of Tzaneen, Coach House Nougat factory, Kings Walden and Sunland Baobab all make up a fabulous day. Overnight at Mafigeni Safari Lodge.

DAY 9

This morning, transfer to Phalaborwa or Hoedspruit airport and fly to Johannesburg. Clients connect to USA.
