Embrace Africa (A division of Mafigeni CC) is a family-run safari outfit and it is our pleasure to offer you, our most valued guest, more than 80 years of combined safari guiding experience. Our headquarters are based in the North-eastern part of South Africa, just 40 minutes from the renowned Kruger National Park, however Embrace Africa operates throughout the Southern part of Africa – Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique & South Africa.

Embrace Africa Safaris (a division of the Mafigeni Safari Company) is a family-run safari outfit that is based in South Africa, but operates throughout Southern Africa & East Africa. It is our pleasure to offer you, our guest, more than 50 years of combined guiding experience.

Our safaris are all fully guided and personalized. Each itinerary may be tailored to your specific requirements. Should you enjoy golf, fishing or bird hunting, we can include these activities in your itinerary. We will also strive to include specific hobbies that you might have in your itinerary, so let us know your interests!

Our safaris are all private. We do not mix any groups, i.e. no outsiders on your safari, regardless of the number of people in your group. Your safari group will have their own experienced guide, who will accompany you during the entire time that you are on Safari with Embrace Africa Safaris.

Because we offer private and personalized safaris, your itinerary can be very flexible, and can be changed during your safari.

Embrace Africa Safaris welcomes children as well as guests who require additional assistance (wheelchairs are available, oxygen, 24 hour medical assistance, etc.). Our staff will assist you in any way that is required and ensure that you and your family have a wonderful African experience.

Accommodations during your safari are all very comfortable: Lodges are decorated in fine African style and all rooms have private en-suite facilities. All Lodges that you will be staying in during your safari have electricity, running hot and cold water in the bathrooms, as well as flush toilets.

Our Tented camps offer comfortable luxury tents that also boast en-suite bathroom facilities. Generally, there is a generator for lighting during the dark hours.

We pride ourselves with proven service and our reputation with our past clients speaks for itself. We are honest, offer a fair price on safaris with no hidden costs.

COMPANY HISTORY


Claude and Jill Kleynhans are the owners of the Mafigeni Safari Company, which incorporates Embrace Africa Safaris, as well as other safari related divisions. Jill, along with her parents Westley and Esther Burman, is a founder and developer of the Mafigeni Safari Lodge, which they started building in 1995 and completed mid-1997. Claude, who has been guiding professionally since 1987, and Jill met on the home ranch, subsequently got married in August 1997 and combined their safari skills to establish one of South Africa’s leading safari outfits.

1998 was the first year that Claude and Jill marketed the company in the USA. At this time, Westley Burman was still the majority shareholder, but in 2000, Claude and Jill bought out Westley’s shares and are currently the Owner Operators and Managing Directors of the Mafigeni Safari Company.

The Mafigeni Safari Company celebrates it’s 10th anniversary in 2008! We have experienced 10 wonderful years with our guests, and we are even more excited about our future.

Claude and Jill live in South Africa, at the Mafigeni Safari Lodge and have raised their children Marina, Jolene and Alec in this wonderful bush environment.
