“For the photo safari what sets Mafigeni apart from other companies we checked into, is the flexibility offered and the fact that it was our own trip. With companies that take larger groups you are forced to fit into their itinerary and schedule and lose some of that flexibility. With Mafigeni, we were able to stop and see what we wanted to see for as long as we wished. This flexibility was ideal for photography. Also, without our guides experienced eyes, we would have missed seeing a lot.
We also came away with a knowledge of the animals and an appreciation of South Africa that we wouldn't have gotten in a large group. Also everyone made us feel like friends instead of clients.”

“Our photo safari was everything we would have asked for if we'd known what to ask for! I never guessed such variety was possible -- every day was an adventure in itself. Thanks to the itinerary Mafigeni laid out, we safari'd by van and truck, foot, boat and elephant-back. Our game sightings in bush, forest and from rivers were phenomenal. Our accommodations ran the gamut from elegant guesthouse to "Meru" tent, but all were clean and comfortable and our hosts/hostesses at each place made us feel completely at home. Wonderful food! "Got back in the evening, California time, got up to run the boat on rough water. It is hard to figure out where to begin. I think most basically, we had the greatest time of our lives, thanks to you, your family and crew.Iam still dreaming of Africa each night. You folks were really great to us. Some friends of ours cooked a whole 45kg pig on a spit, Africa theme party, we had our 200 pictures about, raving about your operation to over 50 people. We brought home some crocodile pate, impala pate, I served whitetail deer hotlinks, bear linguisa and bear Italian sausage. If I write much more, you may fall asleep from the novel." ..... Tom

"Anyway,we were on a morning drive in Kruger and there was a car stopped ahead of us a few hundred yards looking at an elephant ( I think) and Pam says "lions, lions on the right" so we stopped and backed up, sure enough, you could see a couple of lioness' in the grass. Just then a young giraffe's head comes up out of the grass with a lioness gripping itby the throat, you could hear the giraffe groan and then the lioness pulls it down in the grass again and that was it. I just happened to click the camera at the right time. Awesome time, we loved the trip, you, Claude and everyone else were great."
